Rope Climbers

	Many years ago competitive rope climbing was an absolutely separate sport. It even was in the programs of the first Olympic Games. On the Summer Olympic in Paris in 1924 Czech gymnast Bedřich Šupčík climbed up the 8-meter-rope for the time of 7.2 seconds and won the first Olympic gold medal in the Czech history. Because of this historical context competitive rope climbing was preserved in the Czech Republic till nowadays and is still very popular among the local athletes. 1.
